The UK Independence Party has issued a statement on this issue, it follows;
"We're about to spend tens of billions of taxpayers money on a stimulus. The Olympics, council houses, maybe the Greens will get their housing insulation, more windmills and so on. But the point of a stimulus is to provide jobs for British workers to do instead of their festering on the dole. But under EU laws we cannot stop foreigners from taking these jobs. Even if we are paying our own tax money to create jobs, we still have to let EU workers apply for and get these jobs. So it will be "British taxes paid to foreign workers."
Who was it who said "No taxation without representation"? Well, it seems no-one listened to the man..... its now "no representation without taxation".
Lets sort this mess out .....NOW!

Mandy and the EU Gravy train
There has been much activity in the UK recently, particularly with the strikes rising in protest to the preferential treatment of foreign workers. This has prompted debate on the phrase coined by Gordon Brown when he became Prime Minister "British Jobs for British workers", the fact is this ain't happening. British people are being treated as second class citizens in favour of foreign workers. The crux of this issue is that Brown's Government can do the square root of bugger all thanks to the EU and the so called 'free movement of citizens' the problem is a serious one and perhaps getting out of the EU has never been a more important debate than now.
Former EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson still gets £78,000 per year for having been a Commissioner and this isn't taking into account a nice big fat pension to boot!
Conflict of interest perhaps? Oooh I don't know, course it is!!
Are we living in a democracy anymore? UKIP wants our democracy back. NOW!

What EU Membership Means?
The European Parliament has a big influence on the lives of EU citizens, whether they realise it or not. EU laws apply in all member states, and most laws passed by national parliaments are drafted in response to European directives (framework laws that have to be transposed into national law within a certain timescale).
This is taken from the BBC Website - is there any more reason to tell Brussels where to go?
The peoples of Britain have never had a national referendum on our membership of the EU - and the more EU Directives that are passed, the less our politicians are representing us. Briefly this means that our elected MPs are not doing the job we elected them to do, and they gave themselves a pay rise last summer! To add insult to injury, they refuse to release details of their expenses - time for some real change I believe.
UKIP offers that real change, we will give the Peoples of Britain a referendum on our EU Membership - and we would back a NO Campaign!
We believe in transparency and making our Politicians accountable.

Newcastle Journal
Euro candidate offers third way (Letter to Journal, Newcastle, 20 Jan, from John Tennant, UKIP candidate in NE): "The Conservative MEP for the North East Region, Martin Callanan attempts to lambast the Government for its part in the economic shambles (Voice of the North, January 16). While I am no Labour supporter, I cannot help but notice that much of the economic crisis is partly to due to private sector trading and the banking industry, which no government can control. I fail to see how much better a Conservative Government could handle this crisis."
First Blood!
Martin Callanan the Conservative MEP for the North East Region had suggested a Conservative Government would be the solution to the Economic crisis we are suffering. Would somebody remind him about Black Wednesday and the European Exchange Rate Mechanism? Don't be fooled by him.

ALDE Leader, Graham Watson

UK Liberal Democrats
waxing lyrical on everything from Euroscepticism to EU decision-making.“As Eurosceptic winds gather strength, we need a president who will reach across the aisle and build a coalition for European democracy,” writes Watson, who has just launched a public campaign for parliament’s presidency and says he would “relish” a job at the organisation’s helm.
Well of course he would "relish" a job at the helm! The man is an EU fanatic, and would love nothing more than a stab at the top job of the EU Gravy Train, and taking Taxpayer's money for a totally unaccountable and undemocratic position. I'm sure the Liberal Democrats are proud to have him among their ranks!
The EU President is a total Non-Job, impossibly undemocratic, totally unaccountable and serves no real purpose other than to make sure Council and Commission Proposals are passed, often by going through the voting session in record time. I'm sure they have a book going on what will be the quickest voting session each time they have a Plenary in Brussels or Strasbourg!
Had enough of the EU? Want accountable politicians? Want fairness?

More UKIP Members
KEN CLARKE THE EURO-REACTION.
UKIP is gaining members because of Ken Clarke's return to the Tory front bench. "Clarke's views on Europe are so out of line with the bulk of the Tory Party membership that they simply cannot stand being in the same party any more." said Nigel Farage, UKIP leader.Mike Nattrass, UKIP MEP for the West Midlands said "Only UKIP is firmly committed to leaving the EU so that we can be free and independent once again." "Tory MEPs consistently transfer power to the EU and that Tory policy is confirmed by Clark's return."The first defector in the West Midlands is Denis Allen. A former Mayor of Wellington, a town councillor in Wellington, a councillor on Telford and Wrekin Unitary Authority and former cabinet member there. Denis has also been the Chairman of the Wrekin Conservative Association. After service as an officer in the RAF Regiment Mr. Allen went on to become a Lt. Colonel in the Light Infantry TA."I was already uncomfortable with the way that David Cameron fudged the issue of the Conservative membership of the EPP group in the European Parliament. But the appointment of such a strong europhile like Ken Clarke to the front bench was the last straw. We can see that we can't negotiate from within: they ignored the Dutch and the French referendums and they're ignoring the Irish now. We have to leave so that we can rule ourselves." said Denis Allen. "That's why I joined UKIP, the only party advocating that Britain should be ruled by the British." Mike Nattrass added " Tory MEPs put their Group allowances into the "Yes" campaign and that says it
all."
Already it seems, UKIP has started gaining members from the Tories! About time too!

"Number Six" Patrick McGoohan has died aged 80

It was bad enough losing one UKIP's most revered characters, but today, the World has lost a truly great man, Patrick McGoohan.
McGoohan was made famous by his association to the popular TV Programme, "The Prisoner" and the slightly less well-known "Danger Man". The Prisoner ran for just one series and seventeen Episodes, but it is this series that has captured audiences around the World, myself included. The psychological thriller has kept audiences guessing for over 40 years, with no real understanding of exactly what it is all about. We know that he is Number six, the boss is Number one, but we only ever see Number two, they want information, information, information. and Number Six won't give it! What the information they demand is, audiences have been debating since the show began in 1967-68. I have my theories, but that is another story.
McGoohan was also a well respected Director and Producer as well as an actor, often being involved in the production of the TV Series, Columbo. Peter Falk was a good friend of McGoohan, and I'm sure he will miss his friend. It is well noting that McGoohan was in the frame to play James Bond well ahead of Connery for Dr No - he turned it down because McGoohan was a religious man and refused to do kissing scenes or have Bond being played as a womaniser. Clearly a strong character.
I am saddened by this, because McGoohan will not be around for any reprisal of "The Prisoner", either in TV format or the Movie that is always demanded of its fans.
I'm sure "The Prisoner" Convention at Portmeirion will be a celebration of his work, and I hope it will be a happy occasion, not a sad one.
One day, I will return to Portmeirion in Wales, and relive the Series - I might just do a Prisonerathon this Weekend!
